The former president and first lady released a video endorsing Harris's campaign.
Former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential bid on Friday. The endorsement came in a roughly one-minute-long video that captured a private conversation between the Obamas and Harris.
"Kamala, you've got what it takes," Obama said. "You're smart, you're tough, and you're compassionate. You've got the experience and the judgment to lead this country."
Michelle Obama added, "You've always been a fighter for justice and equality, and you won't back down from the tough fights. We need your voice and your leadership in the White House."
