After Falling Behind, Team USA Clobbers Australia in the Third
The United States men's basketball team will face a tough test when they take on Australia in an exhibition game on Thursday. After falling behind by as many as 15 points in the second quarter and trailing by three at halftime, Team USA rallied to clobber Australia in the third.
The seeds of victory were sown in a players-only meeting on Tuesday, the day after the Canada defeat. The players discussed their mistakes and vowed to play harder and smarter against Australia.
Team USA's starting lineup will feature LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, and Russell Westbrook. Australia will be led by Ben Simmons, Patty Mills, and Aron Baynes.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. ET.
