San Francisco Police Investigate 'Officer-Involved' Shooting at Powell Station

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — San Francisco police are investigating an “officer-involved” shooting at the Powell Street station

Officers responded to reports of a man with a gun on the platform shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday

Police said two officers opened fire after the man failed to comply with commands to drop the weapon

The suspect was taken to a hospital and is currently in surgery

The station was evacuated, and Muni service was briefly disrupted

No officers or other individuals were injured

The San Francisco Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division is investigating the shooting
